Interior design - Spirited Away redesign

The first design is of the boiler room. This room is home to Kamaji, the boiler man. He stokes the undying flames of the hearth which heats and powers the whole sauna house. He also works with herbs, plants, flowers, and other natural materials to give different parts of the sauna different magical aids. These are sent up the long pipes and into the sauna’s stoves above.

The second interior design is part of Yubaba's room. The somewhat severe witch who runs the sauna house.

This is all a part of my Spirited Away re-design project. I'm setting the story in Norway and so redesigning all aspects of the visuals, the story is the only thing that stays the same. I'm also trying out purposeful stylization in this project.

These are my first proper go at interior concept art. I'm really looking forward to doing more of these and improving each time!
